Buyer problems

Why distributors and MRO buyers check ENRO

Four things that go wrong with a bearing order, and what each ENRO model page does about them.

01

Sizes that do not match

A worn marking or a regional part number leads to the wrong bearing on site.

ENRO: Every ENRO model page lists d, D, B and r min, and the size finder searches by measured dimensions.

02

Suffix confusion

ZZ, 2Z, 2RS, C3, K and W33 are written differently by different makers.

ENRO: Each model page lists the versions ENRO offers and what each suffix means.

03

Missing data

Quotes arrive without load ratings or weights, so the buyer cannot check the part.

ENRO: Model pages list catalog reference ratings next to the sizes. A value we have not confirmed is marked, not estimated.

04

Mixed-brand part lists

One order list carries part numbers from several makers.

ENRO: Send the whole list. We match each line to an ENRO model with the same d, D and B.

Choosing a seal

State the version per line on the RFQ. The suffix selector explains each code.

Open
The housing supplies the oil or grease, or the bearing runs very fast.
ZZ
Metal shields on both sides. Clean, dry positions at higher speed.
2RS
Rubber contact seals on both sides. Dust or splash water reaches the bearing.

Quality control

Built to be checked, not believed.

What is checked before a bearing leaves, and what you can check yourself on the model page.

  1. 01

    Sizes

d, D, B and r min are checked against the figures on the model page.

  2. 02

    Warehouse

Bearings are inspected when they enter the warehouse, kept in storage there, and inspected again when they leave.

  3. 03

    Every unit

100% outgoing inspection: each bearing is inspected before it is packed, not a sample from the batch.

  4. 04

    Box and label

Every order ships in the same color box with the same label, and each box carries an anti-counterfeit label you can check with us (see the after-sales section below).

Load ratings, limiting speeds and weights are catalog reference values. Where a value has not been confirmed, the model page shows “On request”; ask and we confirm it for your batch.

Standards referenced

The numbers on the model pages are given in the terms of these ISO standards, so they can be compared with any maker's catalog.

ISO 15

Boundary dimensions

Dimension series: the same base number means the same d, D and B across makers.

ISO 492

Tolerances

Defines the tolerance classes for radial bearings. State the class you need on the RFQ.

ISO 5753-1

Internal clearance

Defines the clearance groups C2, CN, C3, C4 and C5. State the group you need on the RFQ.

ISO 281

Rating life

Basis of the L10 basic rating life. Use it with the catalog Cr in our life calculator.
